THE LOOKOUT AND KANGAROO ISLAND OUTLOOK TOURS
(Terms and Conditions)

The Lookout and Kangaroo Island Outlook Tours reserve the right to alter itineraries and services due to unforseen circumstances or events beyond the control of the operators. We strongly recommend that clients take out travel insurance to cover themselves against cancellations, loss or damage to personal effects and medical emergencies.

The streams and ponds around The Lookout and the nature of the tour make the accommodation and touring unsuited to young children (less than 7 yrs old).

Tour itineraries require a certain amount of walking and stair negotiation and the client must accept any physical risk in touring of this nature.

Clients must be aware that cancellation fees apply. Once a booking has been made and a deposit paid, a subsequent cancellation will incur a $ 20.00 administration fee. Cancellations within 14 days prior to the commencement of a tour or service incur a charge of 20% of the total cost of a package or the value of the first night of accommodation if only renting the apartment. Cancellations within 24 hours of the commencement of the tour or service incur a charge of 100% of the total cost.

Kangaroo Island Outlook Tours agrees to maintain public liability and indemnity insurance and to hold appropriate licences and permits required to provide accommodation and touring services to the public.

Should the traveller have any specific food requirements they need to inform the service providers prior to their arrival and every effort will be made to accommodate these requirements.

Guests are encouraged to travel lightly if possible. The Island has a temperate climate without extremes of heat or cold. Because of its coastal proximity, sea breezes are common and so in summer a light jacket and lightweight long pants should be included. In winter a heavier jacket and a sweater are advisable inclusions. Sturdy shoes are necessary and it is advisable to include a hat and sunscreen in your luggage. Camera supplies are limited and travellers are advised to bring plenty of film and spare batteries. If it is possible to store luggage in Adelaide and travel with a smaller bag, the visitor will find travelling to and from the Island more convenient.

The operators of Kangaroo Island Outlook Tours are keen to pursue the principles of eco-tourism and Malcolm has been trained in the appropriate procedures and behaviour to adopt in National Parks and when interacting with wildlife. Every effort will be made to allow our guests to observe the Island’s wildlife, at close proximity and in their natural environment and in a manner that is rewarding for the visitor and non-threatening or distressing to the animals.

We look forward to meeting you and we work to ensure that your stay on Kangaroo Island is rewarding and memorable.
